Multi-System Youth Training Series


Supporting Youth with Intensive and Complex Needs

This 3-day professional development training series is designed to introduce the Direct Support Professional to Multi-System Youth (MSY) strategies to support youth to successfully engage in their family, school and community. The series will include a framework on how to address the needs of MSY. Strategies addressing sensory differences, physical and trauma needs, and communication will be examined. Additional training content will include reinforcement, motivation, environmental and visual supports as well as using task analysis and effective teaching strategies to support the different demands encountered by MSY.

This training series will be initially offered to providers currently working with children, contact the DODD Regional Liaison in your region to discuss setting up a training series for your agency.
